Races for my middle eastern rpg

yes yes ik ik i already made a thread about this. but here are the races i have so far:

HUMAN

Humans are the most abundant race in the realms. Humans lead most of the political things and cities in Bannerfall. And while they dont really excel in anything, they are still formable foes and are not to be looked down on.

Subraces for human:

Caucasian

Black

Asian

ELF

Ah, Elves. Some call them the bards of the oasis. Elves love singing and are adepts in magic and archery. Elves can also be stealthy and have smooth voices. The most beautiful places are built by Elves.

Subraces for elf:

Half-elf

Sand elf

Shadow elf

COGGER

Coggers are truly rare in the continent of Bannerfall. Coggers are considered master minds, as they find ways to modify their bodies with crude machines that enhance their strength and vitality. Others work in volcanic forges, where they forge the machines and solder them on to other coggers.

Subraces for cogger:

Pure cogger

IMP

Imps are whimsical tricksters. They tend to be found in underground impian cities. Their skin is a tarnished red and have ugly horns protruding from their head. While most imps are ugly and tiny, one of their subraces, the lachsie, are truly beautiful, and a lot of them are courtesans.

DOVANI

The dovani are ugly half-mummies. How the dovani came about is in the war of vendighald, where necromancers brought them back. Then the mummies threw themselves onto un-protected women, which is where the dovani came. Only the war was recorded, however, and the dovani are now accepted as another race of Bannerfall.

High dovani

But perhaps that's just a different word for shadow elves.. Not that I would actually know, as I'm mainly into different genres of videogames.

Idk though I just think their introduction in elder scrolls was amusing. Cat people that also have passive buffs to stealth mechanics hehe

Not including jinn or ghouls would be a crime. Hell my homebrew that no one wants to play has both. Then again it also has cat-sized manticores as an option for familiars.

yep shadow elves are pretty much dark elves.

jinn and ghouls, while cool, seem to be more like creatures the player would fight then a full fledged race.

Humans are typically the dominant race in fantasy settings. Why not have humans be the lease populous, least influential and least advanced for a change? Maybe even the 'new kids on the block?'-- like maybe humans are from newly discovered distant land, only recently discovered by more civilized races?

i presumume you have watched every star gate, star trek and dr who episode and movie to know the proper lore of those races in their respected universes.

i not gave a description. as a short reasoning why the race would fit.
I presume your a scifi geek if your into d&d and already know all those races..

Race doesn't exist. Certainly not in the sense Americans obsess about. Black isn't a race. Genetics are a lot more complicated than skin color. Maybe get your dna heritage checked by one of those online sites and they'll tell you some subgroups for Human.

It's a fantasy setting so I don't think a genealogy test will tell you much about the genetics of Bannerfall
