Nowadays, Poland is QUITE wary of the Russian threat, since they share a border with Russia. They are also NATO and EU members -- while a Russian assault on Poland is likely going to be ignored by some members, others will likely help

they could use the money for education and science.
But hey lets keep people stupid and poor.
And if the people ever revolt there is the military to help the government.

You should check your facts, mate. Poland had no chances against both the German and the Russian invasions.

when germany restored its old borders by invading poland , poland was just 21 years old. most people was either germans or russians. they probably had no real motivation to fight for their new goverment.

Try explaining to Ukraine that there wasn't a threat.

Putin has, on many occasions, expressed regret that the USSR released so many countries. He wants to get them back.

If you remember, Russia first marched on Kyiv. It was no incursion, it was a direct attempt to take over the entire country.

The threat is very real.

Polish TV "Russia corssed out Border 3 Minutes ago" in whole Poland Fireworks go up the sky, everybody partys on the streets,On the next morning, every Pole is on their way to the border, even babies in strollers are holding a grenade in their hands.

the true story is also.. poles attacked an infantry regiment with calvery.. but an german tank battalion happend to be there in ambush..
stupud poles charge with horse made better war propaganda than truth..
(and germans used plenty horses too.. as in only 10% was actual mechanised)

Poland thought too much about itself and pissed off neighbors, and that is why it was divided by strong nations in the past.

You may disagree with me, but having territories that belong to another state is a casus belli. And Poland currently holding parts of Germany.
