i think "next gen" consoles are not really being much of a thing at this point. i think most companies will simply be trying to make updated versions of current consoles.

Everything already looks like pre-2010 and runs like ****. If a new console generation comes, they're gonna upgrade from UE5 to UE6 and from RTX to RTX++ and you get games that look 2003 but run at 15 fps.

Do you actually want that?

playstation 6 is rumoured either 2026 or 2027. next xbox might be the same. maybe.
