What's the next thing after nuclear weapons?
So, we kinda already understand how to make nukes and we have plenty.

When I say "we" I'm referring to the human knowledge. We can make many nukes and blow this planet.

But, what's gonna be the next type of weapon or discovery that we'll make?

What if we need to blow off a whole planet in outer space?

Or we get attacked by aliens from a parallel dimension?

hiroshima and nagasaki were not even in the top ten destroyed cities in japan. A few days later after the bombing local people over there were rebuilding and growing stuff just like any other regular bombed city, no radiation.
so perhaps nuclear weapons did not happen

Bioweapons. We've been experimenting with them since WW2.
if its anything we should be afraid of its this. We live in a world where war will be waged for resources and strategic importance. Why nuke the land you want when you can kill everyone via bacteria?

Most likely, the sources of new energies and weapons are in the structure of the physical vacuum.

But Einstein said that a vacuum is emptiness. Therefore, modern physics almost does not study the vacuum.

So in the near future, no new super-bombs are expected to appear that surpass atomic bombs.

In Stargate SG-1 episode "Exodus" The team used a Stargate to dial a black hole in order to remove mass from a star, resulting in its destabilization and eventual supernova. The Supernova took out an entire solar system and presumably killing Apophis and his entire army,

I was thinking about the ion cannon in command and conquer but i reckon if something like that was shooting down from space, It would probably shoot holes in our ozone layer.
