Yes it was...
America froze Japanese assets in July of 1941, and it established an embargo on oil and gasoline exports to Japan .. just because we were destroying the @#$# out of China.
So Japan attack the USA // Pearl harbor ... we didn't know you people would invent some kinda mega pint weapon... you got lucky, God favored you because you were a Christian nation and upright.
But Japan is still here, we have the 3rd largest military on earth, and we have just dedicated 16 trillion with a T ... to expand that military to be something not even imagined 5 years ago.
On the soul of my loved ones ... the word America will be unknown to even the greatest scholars of the future, or the world will not exist.
Invest in Toyota my jolly wise friend
What if there are many factories already with drone production and every civilian who had a drone out of war time put it to use too for logistical purposes.
It's all horses for courses, my country needs more Jackals and imo they should be distributed all over the country ready to be be flicked on.
I'm only sure that there is a creator.
Tell your people
Yet such mass production of drones, might make the side effects of climate change even more severe and fatal in the mid term - long term for everyone in the planet, if we don't take into account the pandora box being opened aka global nuclear winter.
The UK Tories has just done a stupid thing and given a foreign company lots of money to fire our workers and be able to make greener recycled steel that is not much compared to imo actual steel.
So there is that the recycling of steel will be less environmental damaging apparently.
(The UK has now lost its ability to make genuine steel which is absolute bonkers)
On what drones would need AI wise nothing that I would call AI anyway on fighting other bots.
The electronic warfare would not require AI beyond what has been happening for decades already.
Maybe the strategical command would be AI assisted.
For drones on drone/bot fighting the recognition technology is already there just using the javelin tech which has rose to celebrity status with the Ukraine war.
How many bots can be produced in a day?
How many do you want?
It would come down to existing resources if a bot invasion right now.
3d printing for some drones would be ideal.
Obviously you would have disposable type drones going one way maybe very lightweight recon / flak taking type drones that would be deployed ahead of the more expensive and dangerous drones and they would be of different values too.
Taking statistics from a site from 2021 / 2022 with expectation the numbers would increase aprox 25% in following years as tech moves on and processes develop further :
Drone pilots = 181,166 that is registered drone pilots. So some drones would be manual rather than automatic. Some missions and command type vehicles would have other automated drones around them receiving instruction from those piloted ones for the more combat orientated missions.
Commercial drone market was 1.2 billion in 2021 all this is UK.
There are approximate 500k drone users .
Drone pilots for hire renewed their ids @ 223,467 .
Expired licences in this field were @ 113,205 .
in none wartime commitment (just going as things were a year ago say and not fully industrialised war program for all factories and drone making) it was expected to be more than 600k jobs in the UK by 2030.
It is expected by 2030 drone cost of production would be reduced by £4.8 billion as technology and investment improves.
Those stats comes from James Leslie who has been in the field for over a decade.
So that gives an insight on some of the impact and expectation of drones / production and use currently.
On another site there are recorded :
tech developer 161 sites
drone powered service provider 495
service providers for the drone industry 97
academic research 21
misc drone entity 26
Copy pasta :
Technology developers - companies developing or producing new drone or drone-related technology. This was further split into 11 sub-categories
Drone-powered service providers - companies using drones to provide services, for example surveying construction sites or aerial photography for film and TV
Service providers to the drone industry - services that support the use of drones, such as insurance, training and maintenance
Academic and research institutes
Other drone-related entities - a catchall that includes industry bodies, consultancies and anything else that didn’t fit into the previous four categories
: end of copy pasta.
The tech going on from delivering heart defibrillators to firing nets at rogue drones to searching for gas leaks to exploring the ocean floors and so on the industry is vast, and this is making a good grounding of experience for military uses.
Couple of examples are automatic battery changing docks and what is currently used for search and rescue are drones 'fired' from vehicles.
Production of drones daily currently I can't find it with a quick search. It would depend on a lot of factors and sizing requirements.
How many circuit boards can be made daily and how many engines can be made daily and so forth.
I might get back to it later and do a proper look and estimation.

The Sino-Japanese war started in 1937. The U.S benefited from it by exporting raw resources and oil to Japan, and only started sanctioning Japan after Japan had attacked French Indochina interests in 1940. The U.S was not the good guy here. It's looking after its own interests that was all.

And you think they are not prepared for that ?
In such times you cant even trust your neighbour dude.
You are underestimating your own country.
