Would you fight for your country?
Hear me out.

If tomorrow your country gets invaded by another country, perhaps a full scale WW3 scenario.

Would you try to dodge the draft and somehow get out of it or would you wait for them to draft you, cooperate or hell..even volunteer ?

And why ?

I personally would not fight for my country and would try to avoid the draft by leaving my country.
But I would probably not hide in some forest shed's basement for years and probably " turn myself in " at some point... Unless there is a way to really leave the country for me or somehow maintain a little quality in my life. Basically like most Ukrainian men handle it, I would as well.

I would accept death for the whim of my nations leadership, no matter what their reason or logic. I would put my family to death and then light myself on fire if they willed it.

Nations like mine will always rise from the ashes, no matter what the universe or bad luck throws.

When you offend Japan, you seal your fate...

When that day comes 100 years or 500 years later... know this; we will be ruthless, without mercy, and we will invent horrors that hell can not fathom.

You're welcome my friends :HanzosShadow: :AngrySword: :CrossedBlades: :SlyNinja: :OhNoBlue: :KneelingBow:
Isn't that the kind of attitude that caused all your neighbors to hate you and for a couple temporary suns to form in your Cities?

Yes it was...

America froze Japanese assets in July of 1941, and it established an embargo on oil and gasoline exports to Japan .. just because we were destroying the @#$# out of China.

So Japan attack the USA // Pearl harbor ... we didn't know you people would invent some kinda mega pint weapon... you got lucky, God favored you because you were a Christian nation and upright.

But Japan is still here, we have the 3rd largest military on earth, and we have just dedicated 16 trillion with a T ... to expand that military to be something not even imagined 5 years ago.

On the soul of my loved ones ... the word America will be unknown to even the greatest scholars of the future, or the world will not exist.

Are you sure your surrender had nothing to do with the Russians capturing half a million troops in Manchuria within weeks? And that the oil embargo wasn't due to your unprovoked aggression in China and the rest of the Pacific? I admit that we probably shouldn't have bombed you in the 1850's for trade but everything since then was Japan chosing to be aggressive and paying the price for it.

imagine being a civilian and having nobody manning the anti air defences as a missile comes and blows your kitchen up while your getting a cuppa.
There is 300 million people in the United States who can man that turret and I’m not one of them.

EMP / get the IT crowd in / Fight back with drones.
Cat & mouse shenaningans what if the robot army is just the "recon" force, and one part of the army is billions upon billions of EMP hardened attack drone swarm, guided with AGI thanks to 1nm chips.

What if there are many factories already with drone production and every civilian who had a drone out of war time put it to use too for logistical purposes.

It's all horses for courses, my country needs more Jackals and imo they should be distributed all over the country ready to be be flicked on.

Sounds good, yet how many drones per minute or per day can be fully automated produced and hook into the Artificial General Intelligence is what will matter the most, alongside the rare earth metals needed for their mass production, among other logistic factors to be taken into account.

Yet such mass production of drones, might make the side effects of climate change even more severe and fatal in the mid term - long term for everyone in the planet, if we don't take into account the pandora box being opened aka global nuclear winter.

The UK Tories has just done a stupid thing and given a foreign company lots of money to fire our workers and be able to make greener recycled steel that is not much compared to imo actual steel.
So there is that the recycling of steel will be less environmental damaging apparently.
(The UK has now lost its ability to make genuine steel which is absolute bonkers)

On what drones would need AI wise nothing that I would call AI anyway on fighting other bots.

The electronic warfare would not require AI beyond what has been happening for decades already.

Maybe the strategical command would be AI assisted.

For drones on drone/bot fighting the recognition technology is already there just using the javelin tech which has rose to celebrity status with the Ukraine war.

How many bots can be produced in a day?

How many do you want?
It would come down to existing resources if a bot invasion right now.

3d printing for some drones would be ideal.

Obviously you would have disposable type drones going one way maybe very lightweight recon / flak taking type drones that would be deployed ahead of the more expensive and dangerous drones and they would be of different values too.

Taking statistics from a site from 2021 / 2022 with expectation the numbers would increase aprox 25% in following years as tech moves on and processes develop further :

Drone pilots = 181,166 that is registered drone pilots. So some drones would be manual rather than automatic. Some missions and command type vehicles would have other automated drones around them receiving instruction from those piloted ones for the more combat orientated missions.

Commercial drone market was 1.2 billion in 2021 all this is UK.

There are approximate 500k drone users .

Drone pilots for hire renewed their ids @ 223,467 .

Expired licences in this field were @ 113,205 .

in none wartime commitment (just going as things were a year ago say and not fully industrialised war program for all factories and drone making) it was expected to be more than 600k jobs in the UK by 2030.

It is expected by 2030 drone cost of production would be reduced by £4.8 billion as technology and investment improves.

Those stats comes from James Leslie who has been in the field for over a decade.

So that gives an insight on some of the impact and expectation of drones / production and use currently.

On another site there are recorded :

tech developer 161 sites
drone powered service provider 495
service providers for the drone industry 97
academic research 21
misc drone entity 26

Copy pasta :

Technology developers - companies developing or producing new drone or drone-related technology. This was further split into 11 sub-categories
Drone-powered service providers - companies using drones to provide services, for example surveying construction sites or aerial photography for film and TV
Service providers to the drone industry - services that support the use of drones, such as insurance, training and maintenance
Academic and research institutes
Other drone-related entities - a catchall that includes industry bodies, consultancies and anything else that didn’t fit into the previous four categories

: end of copy pasta.

The tech going on from delivering heart defibrillators to firing nets at rogue drones to searching for gas leaks to exploring the ocean floors and so on the industry is vast, and this is making a good grounding of experience for military uses.
Couple of examples are automatic battery changing docks and what is currently used for search and rescue are drones 'fired' from vehicles.

Production of drones daily currently I can't find it with a quick search. It would depend on a lot of factors and sizing requirements.

How many circuit boards can be made daily and how many engines can be made daily and so forth.
I might get back to it later and do a proper look and estimation.

Actually, it wasn't due to unprovoked aggression in China. China managed to drastically stall Japan's advancement in Shanghai and Nanjing in 1937 thanks to Nazi German trained and equipped Chinese Nationalists troops originally meant to fight the communists. Because of the heavy losses incurred, Japan was afraid to go deep into China's heartlands and they never did.

The Sino-Japanese war started in 1937. The U.S benefited from it by exporting raw resources and oil to Japan, and only started sanctioning Japan after Japan had attacked French Indochina interests in 1940. The U.S was not the good guy here. It's looking after its own interests that was all.

Never said we were but neither was Japan. Declaring war on people just because they won't trade with you even though it's their decision not to trade is wrong wheather the US, Japan, or anyone else does it.

To be honest, when war breaks out and your country needs you, what makes you think they don't just raise the draft age like they did in Ukraine ?

Plus, they won't care much about how fit you are as long as you can hold a gun and somehow be weaponized in some trench (also like in Ukraine).

In Germany you can be drafted until the age of 60.
Plus, ANYONE who has served at least 1 day in the military, is considered a reserve soldier can can be mobilized much earlier in so called " state of high risk ". Which basically means I would have a hard time to evade draft in the first place as they would draft me before shi.. really hits the fan.

HOWEVER, apparently according to the German law, they can't force anyone to serve " on a weapon " . So they could draft you, but I assume they could still drop you into some logistic battalion or force you to become a medic of some sort. But hell, even this would probably just be changed if they need bodies.

During war, there is martial law which means the military takes over. They don't care about some legislation, they just do whatever they want. If they draft you even though you " legally " can't be drafted, what do you wanna do ? Take a lawyer ? lol.

This is the same with all countries out there...when they need bodies, they will just draft whoever they feel like and if they for some reason can't draft you, they make your life very miserable.

In Ukraine for example, you can't find employment, can't continue studying nor anything else if you haven't checked in with the militaray to register yourself on the " available for draft " list.

you are likely right they press us anyway.
well good.. guess at who I be pointing a weapon if (o)presssed
biggesr mistake they made if they do.

And you think they are not prepared for that ?
In such times you cant even trust your neighbour dude.
