You know those things at airports that are escalators but they don't go up? They just move you forward? What's the point in those?

they were pretty dangerous before they added additional emergency stop buttons lol.

Or better yet... just make normal stairs? It saves money and you get a workout.

"moving walkways", they speed up travel time along the very long corridors in airports if you walk on them as they go.
or if your physique means you need a break from walking or pushing a heavy cart, you still move along even if you pause for a bit.

The same point as in an escalator, only your destination is on the same floor. Moving you from point A to point B with less effort.
