You do realize that having it harder for the miners means that it's a good thing? There's less supply coming, it's like having a money printer but printing less and less, which makes the existing currency more valuable.

But like, that's not even the reason why the prices go up, there's so much more at play you couldn't even possibly imagine.

And you already lost because you're operating in the qualitative sphere of things, you're listening to news and ♥♥♥♥, and not PURE, RAW, data and having a cold calculated system.

The harder the blockchain is, the longer it takes to process a transaction. I've hear anecdotal stories of people having to wait more than an hour for their payment to process at a bitcoin ATM.

That's just not good business.

I'm a wine buyer and seller and pretty much retired otherwise. It's not steady cash but the windfalls are fantastic. It's as predictable as any market can be, I suppose. Low and slow, that's how I burn.

I have actually looked into it over the past few years. My problems with it are technical: the blockchain only ever gets bigger and requires more work to process, at the same time many countries are cracking down on farming due to power use.

I'm so conflicted. I missed the ship I admit, but it wasn't for stupid reasons.

I can't agree with this statement, because if the supply of new bitcoins decreases and users increase, it also means that you need to use more internet infrastructure, equipment and electricity, and this means that the network is more likely to have more centralized miners in the future and they will have the word for the price if they can't sell it then the system is gone.
