What's your neighbour going to say? I mean it's a cat and they like running around anyway.
that i have to live on the street like trash because my cats make too much noise.
the cat ownes you and your house.. you are merely tolerated in it's precence to serve as it's personal chef, butler and butwipe.
Does it have any toys?
Clap your hands a bunch of times to get their attention. If you need to, separate them in different rooms until they calm down.
Alternatively, you can follow them around and deter them by getting in their way.
Gotcha fam'

In my experience if you are respectful to the cat its more likely to not be a jerk... there is nothing you can do about the latter, though. That cat butt will be in your face weither you like it or not.
Maybe try playing with the mouses with them next time they get like this.
From experience, my cats chewed on my gamecube, so maybe look into that :P
Jokes aside, this also just sounds like standard cat behavior. Sometimes little things just like to run around. If possible look into a leash and harness for them if your environment allows.
