Kiona recently got demonetized from Twitch, because it asks to renew your personal info every year and an AI rejected her info. She is trying to get 1k subscribers on youtube so she can get monetized there. If you like cute bear vtubers, please consider subscribing to her channel:

I was listening to Henya back when she was Pikamee. I downloaded her reaction video to the bridge compilation just so I can always go back to it and listen to her laugh.

Due to that, I could no longer ignore that it's merely an act that they'a putting on ..
Sure, it's fun every once in a while, but to see acting over and over isn't really my cup of tea.
I'd be a lot more interested in them being themselves, which is definitely never gonna happen.
My favorite Vtuber is and has always been Shishiro Botan, as she seemed to be genuinely honest in quita lotsa cases.. Or she's just that talented-
That's to say, I haven't watched any clips with her in months, nor do I plan to.
- The only Vtubers whom I watched months ago were Kitsunero and SmugAlana as upon listening to some of their videos, I liked their inputs.
It didn't feel all that acted, but that's probably just me misunderstanding things and being unable to take the obviously different as different rather than the same.
I mean, gaming and commentary videos are different kinda content, so perhaps I simply no longer enjoy watching the gaming content as much as I used to, and do instead gravitate towards the commentary videos as there're I can listen to the thoughts of the content creators, to those two Vtubers.
Regaring posting the Vtuber related content- I will have to pass.
I don't do that kinda stuff, but I'm willing to talk about that if it comes up to it.
That.. Shall cover the presented questions, I guess.

I've also started watching more Tenma from Phase Connect

She's an older asian lady. Quite relatable. And she has started streaming project moon content, which I like.
SmugAlana is cool. Used to watch Mori as well.
But with Mori I was interested in her zatsudans and music production streams. When she started pivoting to general streaming and gaming, I stopped watching her unfortunately.
But our forum avatars are personas.
I don't see it as being fake. I think a lot of their personality shines through. Someone who isn't talkative, outgoing and charismatic (like me) couldn't succeed as a vtuber.

if it's about gaming I rather watch some news related gaming channel or reviews else no commentary walkthroughs / speed runs. With the occassional exception of some essays about games mechanics or game lore, commentary with gameplay about some niche game, sometimes tips and tricks or general strategies / how to play or counter current meta, etc.
If it's about cuteness there's an endless amount of cats / dogs / animals in youtube videos doing cute actions. If it's about goofy stuff there's an infinite amount of memes all across the internet, even AI generated memes; etc.
Edit: P.S. I find the whole parasocial relantionship shenanigans around Vtubers, as a very bizarre situation kinda like how some people put celebrities, politicians, influencers, etc. on a pedestal.
