Bruv... SliTaz. The most geniously compacted OS in the whole damn world in our lifetime. I love it!
Oh wait. That's none of them thus far.
You can use gamescope, CoreCtrl and LACT
I will be buying an AMD GPU next for my linux because they are very well integrated together.
Hopefully by the time that XFCE's Wayland session is at a point of being usable as a daily driver you would have moved to a better graphics card. You have some time as that'll take at least a few years if not longer.
That is a big reason why I ended up buying a Radeon RX 580 around when I was building this PC instead of a competing NVIDIA card. NVIDIA graphics cards ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ suck on GNU/Linux especially several years ago when things were even worse.
I used it to replace my 2080ti.
I was going to buy a 6950xt specifically for linux use- but alas. It's not the worst thing that ever happened. Many Nvidia features have been unlocked in the last year or two.
As for your 4070 Ti, you could possibly trade it for a 7900 XT or 6950 XT (that's what I would do if I got a card like that) but I understand if that's not worth the time or effort for you.
