It tried to be PvP focused but of course the whales would always win because they could afford to sink thousands of dollars into the slot machine to get the best items.
I loved the multi-classing system. You could pick 3 of any type of subclass and the 3 subclasses you pick determined your overall class. There was 220 possible different classes, each of them functionally different because the subclasses were different. It was really fun. You felt a lot more unique being you, instead of the realm's 10,000th warrior like you are in World of Warcraft.
They are working on Archeage II, so I hope that launches soon. Supposedly Archeage II won't have the P2W mechanics. I hope it doesn't but I've seen MMO's do a 180 on this issue before.

I know it was delayed once already. Which is sad, but if it means the game is in a better state at release that can be a good thing. You don't want your game having a bad first impression these days. Streamers will wreck it.
