Saying that they don't bother scrutinising reports isn't exactly an argument in favour of the curator though, if anything that's giving people more reason to judge lmao
Not bothering to scrutinise them also sounds like a great way to get trolled by "wokies" joining the group and pretending to be anti-woke just to make the group look more ridiculous
I'm not entirely sure at this point. They seem to be critical sometimes but other times they just say "Thanks, I've added it to the list".
It's very unlikely the owner of the group (who seems to also be the one who created the spreadsheet, not sure if he had any help although he apparently used some other resources to compile games) has played all of the games on the list, so obviously it's impossible to be accurate with everything (and it's still subjective and there are clearly even anti-woke people who disagree with it).
I guess if you value massive quantity over quality but with that many games a lot of them look satirical even as an outside observer who really doesn't care if a game is "woke." And as I said not bothering to really scrutinise group member submissions (or the group members themselves), from looking at the group I really get the feeling some people are suggesting things just to make the group look more ridiculous. I also really question the group creator's decision to bother reviewing porn games or things that would obviously be "woke" like LGBT focused novels that make it clear what they are, or anything with "futanari" in its title, it just contributes more to the vibe that the group is satire even though I don't think it actually is.
It works as a heads up at the very least. Wokies will attack anything just because they don't like it, and will just throw anything at it whether it makes sense or not. What it looks like to them is "the enemy". Nothing else matters.
and the asian girl treat the black dude like a slave
I'm sure it does work as a heads up, but I feel like that's besides the point of what we were talking about. My point was just that the list seems over the top even from my perspective. I find the whole concern over "wokeness" ridiculous to begin with but to me there's people disliking there being prominently featured "diversity" characters and then there's this group and its list marking games for even just featuring interracial couples for a few seconds in the intro; or reviewing games like "I was blackmailed by a FUTANARI!!!" to say that they have hermaphrodite characters...yeah, no ♥♥♥♥? If you're anti-woke do you really need this heads-up? It's literally in the game title lol
But hey, people can buy or not buy whatever games they want for any reason. It's no skin off my back
No, that IS the point. Even though the curator might not be very accurate, it still works as a heads-up. Then you can check for yourself if that is actually true. So I'm saying the curator is still useful. There aren't that many of them.
Fair enough, then
Stardew Valley, My time at Sandrock, Street Fighter V, Guilty Gear Strive, and a number of other games may be called "woke"....
The list I made is games in my library.
I don't find them "woke."
I even like Poison, Bridget, and similar characters even if I don't agree with their characters.
