Name ONE unselfish reason to have kids
Can you name at least 1 unselfish reason to have kids. All parents have kids for the following selfish reasons:

"I want to continue my family bloodline." Selfish
"I want a mini-ME!" Very selfish
"Ooopsie, I had too much fun last night and forgot to use protection. Ehhheeee." Extremely selfish.
"i AM BORED. Let me have kids to fill my loneliness." Selfish and cringe.
Update: Gen Z wants more selfies by having babies. Ultimately selfish and top-shelf cringe.

Cheap labour.

But, it's not just for me. I mean, sure I will turn a tidy profit. However, through their toiling others will benefit from readily available and affordable goods.

So a really long time ago some organism figured out that it had better chance of survival if it combined its genetic material with another version of it'self. Probably has something to do with resisting parasites and other opposing species depending on how much you agree with Red Queen Hypothesis.

I don't dislike kids but that being said I haven't figured out why we NEED to have kids. But also I haven't figured out why I even NEED to exist other than I choose to.
It's impossible to find a reason that fits your standards because this thread exists to affirm what you already think. Any attempt to come up with a reason will be twisted to appear selfish so you can maintain this worldview.

From a parent who has a daughter.

Please post again when she's 18 and falls in love with a 43 year old Nirvana connoisseur, who fist bumps you because she can do the splits.

Tell us how awesome sharing is when she gets her first "Daddy Tom" tattoo.

There is no point in arguing with anti-natalists. But there is point in them taking their own advice, a la Extinction Rebellion and the Daughters of Megalia. One could therefore argue that there is point in convincing anti-natalists to make good on their promises, thus persuading them to lead by example.

Make of that what you will.

You give up your time, freedom and money to raise new people who will be weak, unknowledgeable, and dependent on you.

As long as there are unadopted orphans I really can't.

If there weren't any orphans to adopt you might suppose that you're well off enough to do to give your child a fantastic lavish life with plenty of love and don't really have anything better to do with your wealth than to raise a child though.

Not wanting to take responsibility for a strange adult bum who should be able to fend for himself and might possibly be crazy and dangerous for you know is understandable which is why I restrict this mostly to orphans. Needing to be genetically related in order to do that is a bit selfish though.

Of course, the thing is, as long as you're not striving to attain sainthood or anything of that sort you're entitled to be a bit selfish.

Moreover, there's a darwinian imperitive to procreate. People who don't procreate select themselves out of the gene pool. Is that selfish, yeah, but what you're left over with is people who are understandably highly motivated to procreate. Your plan to end humanity is hence self-defeating.

Requesting that people stop having kids as an imperative is never going to work as a method of eradicating humanity. Humanity is either going to eradicate itself within one generation, or you have to somehow harness the evolutionary process to selectively breed for people who somehow end up dying at a faster rate than they can be replaced. Good luck figuring out how to do that.

Otherwise humanity is going to persevere at least until the death of the planet, like it or not.

This.
If you preface the question by saying “any reason for having children is inherently selfish” then there is very little point in giving out additional reasons.

The good thing is, if you feel that way, you’re absolutely free to find yourself a partner with the same mindset or remain “self-partnered” (as the “cool kids” - aka mad lunatics - say these days) and live your life however you see fit.
