Isn't that what 60+ year marriages are, when the pair are just in love as the first day they declared it so, to one another, in the year or two prior to marriage?

Most don't have such fantastic luck in their mid to early teens for picking the right partner for life.

My idea of a soul mate is another person whos faith life aligns with mine to the degree that our "souls" rest in the same set of hands and have the same advocate in Heaven. Jesus. Our souls would have the same owner, the same end point, and would mesh fully in this regard. God. Worldly concerns and things of the flesh wont work like that, and this is fully understood.

Definitely but I also agree I am very lucky and it's way more unlikely to find someone like that the older you get. Most people won't find it, which makes me a bit sad.

I knew an older couple that were married previously to other people and both of their spouses passed away and afterwards they were alone for years until they met at work I believe and then they fell in love, got married, and had foster children which they ended up adopting uwu
