Are people born naturally evil?

Or is it our environment that influences whether or not we will be a bad person? I guess along with that, if you believe we are inherently born evil, does that mean that it is our environment that we grow up in that keeps us good and respectful as we become older?

If You think so. All i say is that´s it´s subjective - and mainly emotional. There´s no rational reason to not kill anybody, or oneself - other than that people die anyways and it would be wasted effort.

maybe some people, but definitely not all. Most people don't seem to have any self checks in place to prevent them from spreading bad habits and "culture" to others though.

Read the Spellsinger series by Alan Dean Foster.

He gives a pretty good description of what life is like as you get older in one of the volumes.

As for what I believe ... I don't think anyone is born evil. It is a mixture of your surroundings and people you know and the ability to know what evil is and not follow those instincts.

Or what was in Spellsinger to be honest with you seeing as I can only speak for myself.

Let's not forget that everyone may not have the exact same definition of evil.

They did an experiment once with babies using puppets to play out good vs evil scenes, and most of the time all the babies picked the "good" side, until a bit older and repeated the same test.

One was "The Baby Lab" doing the moral core test upon babies and the conclusion was yes, babies are born with moral values, a sense of fairness and empathy towards others.

Children will not do evil naturally. I believe you actually have to learn how to hate and discriminate, etc. However, they do like others similar to themselves by default.

Are people born naturally evil?

People aren't born naturally evil or naturally good. Babies and Toddlers have no concept of that concept and children struggle to understand what any of it means.

Environmental, genetic and parental factors all play a part in a child's upbringing, but there is no way to know what direction the child wants to go until they reach their teenage years and start to understand what they want to do with themselves, that's when they start to actually understand the concept or good and evil from practical examples when they go out exploring those boundaries.

Well i wasn't born like that i can tell, i was never cruel, i was always a quiet kid even in a very young age i only lashed out over stuff that genuinely infuriate me but never due to malice or anything of the sort, i would never do something i would know is hurtfull, truthfully i really am not that bad all things considered. My parents never had to punish me in a young age because i would behave always.

Conservatives are born naturally evil. They could not be conservatives if they were normal. The rest of humanity is not born evil. Exposure to conservatives does corrupt some of them to become evil.
