TBH it didn't look that interesting from the previews.
Seems like you either love it or hate it, when it comes to online.
Seems like some people are liking it or others hate it and say it's garbage.
I've been thinking of watching but I don't know if I want to put the time into it. Or I feel like I'd get bored

nuh-uh; it's terrible, just like the book it was based on that was so popular with everyone that didn't read any other books literally ever that they made it the flagship serie when the rights got bought.

then they took 2 decades making it because it was a turd nobod wanted to see anyway, and the only way to force it down everyone's throats was to build the brand first.

Yes it's good. I would call it good, not even OK.

I dunno WTF is wrong with Star Wars fandom now. It's crazy.

Even the Star Wars Lore guy, who isn't in the angry white youtube man camp, was just dumping on the show for having a Sith. Ahm... it's a Star Wars thing about the Jedi. Yeah they're probably gonna have a Sith guy.

And so he was telling this story from the comic books or the novels or something about where Sidious almost killed Maul because Maul brandished his lightsaber. Sidious was like "that could mess up all I've worked for, don't do it again". So he was mad about this guy being in the show because he reveals that there's Sith.

Yeah, that makes for a great frame in a comic book, or chapter in a novel. But you can't expect a director of a show to just abide by that. What are they gonna do? Have no Sith because the EU said there's no Sith for 1000 years? Got to keep to that 1000. That's crazy. Nobody should expect this.

Watch the prequel scenes with and where they talk about Anakin in the counci. Now imagine something, what if they're full of ♥♥♥♥? What if the council is full of it that there's no Sith? It makes everything so much better. It makes all the council Jedi performances better, it adds a layer to why Qui-Gon isn't in it, and it completely gets rid of the "NO SITH FOR 1000 BOI" thing. It sets up the council having secrets from the Jedi and maybe even each other.

When Gotham happened, did everybody piss their pants because "YOU CAN'T DO THAT TO PENGUIN"? Same in The Batman. No. Or "YOU CAN'T DO THAT TO SCARECROW" in Batman Begins? No. Nobody did that. Because it was good and they were fans. When Jedi Kal used to be maybe-Joker, did everybody get mad that he was a poor-man's Joker? No. There was a little controversy, but nobody was hyper mad because it was OK and also the show smartly played it coy with it. But if this was Star Wars, oh ♥♥♥♥ you better believe they would have been ripped for RUINING Joker.

The Acolyte has had three stumbles. The helmet is a little lame, but it makes more sense when you know who it is. The whip... the whip I just don't even know what they were thinking with the whip. It's like they went "how can I be even stupider than the dicksaber?". I'd really like to see how they explain the whip. Then there was a moment in the most recent episode that is central to the plot that is chef's kiss amazing, but they ruin it by overshadowing it with something egregiously stupid at the exact same moment.

Everything besides these three things has been really good unless you're some mix of sexist, jaded, angry white man cool, cancel culture profiteering, or just too ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ old mang.
