American Manufacturing is generally pretty good.
Doesn't mean there can't be some duds in there.

Everyting used to be more quality back in the day, not only American products. This could be because inflation has been going on forever and companies has been trying to reduce the cost of production by making it less quality.

True and also greed plays a factor. I have some tshirts and clothes purchased from a decade ago and work still fine without a tear. Most clothes today would be tear apart after a few wash

You do realize there's documented history of the US Military taking manufacturing into their own hands because the 'contractor' or US publicly/privately owned manufacturer just wasn't good enough?

it's pretty clear the US Gov't has a vote of NO CONFIDENCE in US Manufacturing from the public realm. On more than one occasion for several products throughout history.
