"Crooks made the donation on Jan. 20, 2021, the same day President Biden was inaugurated. At that point he would have been 17 years old. He was not eligible to register as a Republican or vote in the 2020 election at the time."

He donated when he was 17, probably Junior or Senior level in HS. He then registered as Republican at 18. And unsubscribed from the ActBlue emails at 18/19. And now at 20, he's googling where to find Biden and Trump, dates for the political events. Has DIY remote controlled explosives. We have a very clear sequence of events. It seems I was perhaps mistaken in believing he was a Neo-♥♥♥♥ or Groyper.

Given this, his state's politics, his father's Libertarian-Republican background, as well, he may have been an anti-establishment, anti-corruption, anti-tyranny Republican. He may have saw Trump and Biden as two sides of the same coin.

he's obviously not been shot or he wouldn't be standing there in the middle of the huddle...

For the amount of guns present in some of the events that he hosts because "muh freedom", it's honestly little surprising that nothing has happened before.

Okay, I'll withhold judgement on the matter until more facts come out. It wouldn't be our first assassination attempt (or assassination) in this country but you're right, I don't know enough.

Well, that should narrow down the location of the shooter to likely being those towards the front...

We'll see. I am anxious to see the apprehension of a shooter, should that be the case. A living one.

It was staged to gain sympthony and to gain votes.
you gotta be quite a shot to hit someone's ear, making it look like you missed.
If your hypothesis holds up, it must have been a trained gunman.

Conversely, you have to suck at shooting if you can hit someone in the ear and not the 60% of other exposed, critical, body locations. IOW - Not something a trained killer is going to do unless they know something about his body vest. Heck, if it was a pure hoax, they'd have been better off hitting Trump in his body vest rather than risking his face exploding. Nobody is going to hoax this by intentionally shooting a live round at Trump's ear. (Easier to glue a thumbtack behind his ear than shoot at his face.)

Though, that assumes there were live rounds in the air...

In today's climate, with a ton of rapey stuff hitting the social media sites about Trump and underage girls... I can not discount the possibility of a staged event in an attempt to gain support.

But, I will wait on further information. No matter my dislike of the guy, I want to see evidence for further conclusions.
