Yah, man.
Bad month. Ain't over.
/glances at Keith Richards
Oh wow... He's been out of the public eye for awhile, now, but it's still a pretty big loss.

I'm sure most younger folk don't realize what an impact he had, but this guy was bundled high-voltage... You couldn't help but like the guy, whether he was gay or not.
He let overweight people know that others could feel sympathy for them and could truly wish them some measure of encouragement and acceptance. See, back in the day, the people that were doing all those cool exercise routines were hot Jane Fonda, Suzanne Sommers types. (ie: Attractive and popular)
Richard Simmons told frumpy housewives and overweight sandwich eaters that they could work out, lose weight, too. And, more importantly, even if they were fat... they were still worth being loved. No lie. That common message everyone takes for granted these days was championed by Richard Simmons. He was kind of at the front of the popular pack on that kind of messaging.

For all the "Late Night" talk shows, Richard Simmons was a guaranteed crowdpleaser. And, that's back in the day that some younger folks insist didn't exist. Who'd have thought the general public liked this guy? He was... gay! /zomgz The fact was he was an energetic show-stopping entertainer who made a lot of people feel good about themselves who just also happened... to be gay.
RIP Richard.
