Steam coming on the next xbox?
I've been seeing videos lately about how Steam is coming to the next Xbox console and it's 100% confirmed by Jez Corden.

If so this would be a game change for budget PC gamers that want to play their steam library and I think allow for Xbox to surpass the sales of PlayStation.

Apparently this next Xbox will be a much more open platform than before.

Xbox is doing something smart for a change? There might be hope in this world after all.

It will be their biggest blunder if they don't.

Who knows… you have to adapt to survive. Only time will tell.

You mean a guy who runs Microsoft news/fansite 'confirmed' it?

Someone who literally has no business relations with Microsoft or the Xbox division?

C'mon, if we imagine it hard enough together it might happen.

It won't unless the next Xbox is simply a PC.

My question is how that’s gonna work?

Is the digital store gonna be replaced with Steam?

The first xbox was a PC.

Oh, so you can load Windows on it and use it as a PC?

The problem with the PS3 is it has an odd set of hardware that makes this almost completely pointless...
I keep thinking it's something to do with the lack? of VRAM, but i honestly can't remember the exact reason for it.

The PS3 was using the PPC CPU instruction set opposed to x86, you can put Linux on the PS3 sure, but Steam and games? Unlikely, the client itself is using x86 instruction set and most games (all?) are also based on the x86 instruction set.

Yes, this is it.
