The different between religion, philosophy and factology
Religion is about belief. Philosophy is about truth. Factology is about fact.

Belief is about a concept without evidence. Truth is about a concept with some evidence. Fact is about a concept with full evidence.

"Afterlife is real" is a concept without evidence. "Afterlife is maybe real" is a concept with some evidence. "Afterlife is not known" is a concept with full evidence.

Religion might be about faith, but its also about truth, it claims eternal truth. (...)
No, no, if you go that way and do not mention something about religion you're being actively dishonest. The missing part you're overlooking is 1) gatekeeping "paradise" to a fraction of "true believers" 2) dehumanise everyone else, but especilly those that are not from their religion, or even religious sub-sect.

------------------------
Those who prone religion extremism AND violent acts hand in hand are in a blurry zone about the truth : if heaven and hell exist, then why try to punish the miscreant before you ? Only those who do not believe in a religious justice and heavenly balance are credible when talking about punishment on earth, be it prison or death.
Isnt that ... TRUE ?

Religion is a practice, philosophy is a thought process, factology is the documentation of real things...people, places, objects.

You're wrong about philosophy : it's the art of bickering following certains rules of engagment. Truth is an aim and a goal, but can you define "truth" yourself ? Philosophy couldnt define it for like 5000 years, i'm guessing you're be unable, too.
Hé :p
Belief, truth and fact are the concepts of a better truth.
Belief is easy, truth is medium and fact is hard.
Philosophy is between belief and fact.
Most excellent answer i must say ! A good solution about cutting that particular pear in half is indeed sidelining it by the border; because as stated "truth" is debatable by itself. Thus the philosophs are bickering and debatting "since the dawn of time", since the hunter-gatherers-farmers could supply enought food for the tribe can allow itself to have people not occupied gathering food - the first priests, the shamans.

But, as a matter of fact, isnt factualism a philosophy current ? :p Began more or less with Hegel "all that is rational is real, all that is real is rational" ? And from that gone in almost every directions, i mean Lenin had read some Hegal, and Einstein has read some Lenin. Round world is round, innit ?

Rational is maybe real or not.
Real is maybe fake or not.
They both need a "hard evidence".

Hard evidence is the fact of truth and belief.

Hegel's Objectivity is the father's current of Factuality. No need to separate philosophy from factuality, if not in the sense of a shism that could be called "Post-Hegelian" as "Pre-Socratic" philosophy is categorized.

Real is not faked, in the sense of "you can touch it with the palm of your hand". Then there is the "reporting of reality", be it by hearsay/teaching or photo/video/drawing. Then there is the filter of what is not reported. Then there are the cognitive biaises and the informations that you select as your intake. But "real" ? Not debatable, not negociable.

About hard evidence is the fact of truth ... and belief : nope, no belief needed, only in confirmation biaises. Hard evidence is the enemy of belief, it's nemesis : so what gives that you have THAT opinon ?

Philosophy accepts it can´t provide a "truth" so does science. But they do debate from a logic perspective.

There are many rules within the philosophical field.
If afterlife is real is the only truth.

Death is merely the continuation of my life without me.

Death is the end of life and afterlife is not known is the fact.
Death is the end of life and afterlife is may be known is the truth.
Death is the end of life and afterlife is truly known is the belief.

They are real in the sense of fact, truth and belief.
Classify between hard, medium and easy evidence.
