I think it's was too old for it at the time, I remember there was a Robin Hood around that time that was more of a drama on ITV(?) that was a bit poo.
Im not sure if I've ever seen a film or series about The Hooded Man that I liked. :(
Alan Rickman was an excellent Sherrif though.
Tony Robinson the actor who played Baldrick in Blackadder was the Sheriff in Maid Marian.

We worshipped that show and Robin was on a par if not greater than how we thought of Ninjas.
