Just to be clear, I'm trying to give some alternative perspective on the matter. I think everyone being at each others metaphorical throat is part of why this happened in the first place. What happened was awful. It would be even worse if it turned into a catalyst for more violence, and I fear it will turn out that way if we don't de-escalate the situation.

He does? Welp, my bad. I haven't followed him, it's literally the first video I saw and what I heard mirrored some of my own thoughts (honestly haven't watched it fully, I don't have the attention span).

I'm just concerned about all this divisive rhethoric, ok. It won't lead anywhere good. I'd be surprised (happily so) if more violence doesn't follow from it. And I think he is right about that this isn't a left vs right thing and that the media is likely playing us against each other for profit (speculative, of course, since I don't have evidence). Just trying to encourage people to not see each others as enemies just because if they are left or right wing, basically.

The simulation stuff is of course pure bs. Don't think I'll follow him if that's what he thinks.

Oh, I completely missed the part about the books. That's what I get for not reading the description or watching the full video. I just skipped parts and figured the parts I watched might help people to stop being at each others throats as much. And yes, I have ADHD, feeling stupid right now.

Don't feel stupid, that's counter-productive; learn from it instead.
It always pays to look deeper into what a channel does, what their broader behavior indicates.
Also, people will still go after each other anyway.
If it isn't Politics, it'll be their choice of music, games, religion, skin color, ethnicity, etc. etc. etc.
That's simply the nature of every animal species, and we're really no different.

Yeah, normally I don't post stuff for this reason and because I know I'm bad at figuring this stuff out. But the current situation just have me very concerned. I don't want more people to get hurt.
