Among western languages, French is one of the most difficult. Gendered nouns, ridiculous number of tenses, arbitrary orthographic and syntactic rules...
It's my native language and I master it perfectly, but it's so inefficient (and sometimes inelegant) I tend to prefer english.

Gendered nouns aren't really uncommon among Indo-European, nothing special there. As for the other parts, those are mostly typical of the romance languages. The only thing I would say that is atypical about French is the orthography, which is indeed tedious and bothersome to learn.

Otherwise, as a non-native speaker I would say it isn't too much harder to grasp, than say, Spanish or Italian. Learning to write it is the hardest part.
Isn't the way numbers are done in French weird too?

Not any differently than the other romance languages.
81, literal translation:
Fr: quatre vingt un; four (times) twenty (plus) one
Sp: ochenta y uno; eighty and one
It: ottantuno; eightyone

71 in French is sixty and eleven.

Just reiterating stuff ive heard before, that Slovenian is pretty hard. Given that Slovenian is a pretty small language, I can understand why others may have trouble understanding it.

All I know how to say is "i want to ♥♥♥♥ your brains out" and "thank you" lol, but it got me quite far.

Oh, wait, my bad. In Belgian French it isn't done like that, but more similar to Italian. I wasn't thinking about Standard or Canadian French.

Well, I can see why people might have trouble with that, then. Beyond that though, I definitely wouldn't say it's the hardest.
I kind of think "France" French is deliberately odd so they can be rude to foreigners.
