The truth is that there are many "facts" in history that are "educated" guesses. Whenever any documentary talks in terms of "fact" I start to question it's credibility.
They really don't know what she was like. The only time they will know for sure is when we find her mummy. And even then, we may not know we have found it.
People actually tried to defend this, what actually hilarious is they tried coming out and calling the people of Egypt liars

Or worse... they tried calling Egyptians "racist"... because that's all they do, call ~everyone~ it.

I wonder how many people are hate watching though. And it's still a glorified documentary, so even terrible viewership is still probably good.

That´s probably the funniest thing of all. It´s not even a show, and people seem to care as it was a movie or something LOL

It´s just one of those terrible cheap documentaries using the costumes from TV shows like Xena and Hercules lol Nobody gave a sh**t qwhen they did a similar crappy documentary on piracy and they hired white people to play the Conquistadors LOL

It´s so clear this is just one of the million examples of American media not caring and hiring Americans or Brits to play all parts ("Just give the role to Ben Kingsley or Jhon Turturro, they have darker skin than most people right?" - every American produces since the 80s).But since this time around it revolves around a black female, suddenly everyone is super woke and caring a lot about "not a realistic representation of the mediterranean races". I wonder how many crying about this show did ever cared about Jhon Wayne playing Genghis Khan, or every Hispanic role being portrait this days by Pedro Pascal, a men with a Hispanic sounding name born on a Hispanic country THAT DOES NOT SPEAK SPANISH AND NEEDS TO BE FEED HIS SPANISH LINES BEFORE FILMING.

America is a country born out of racism and appropiation, can we really expect anything else?

Not a good take to insult and harass America.
Really poor take.
Not a good way to be taken seriously.

This thread has derailed too hard.

Yet more disposable trash from Netflix. I couldn't find anything to watch after browsing 15 minutes, it was all shallow storytelling.
If you like Silent Hill I highly recommend watching Sweet Home. I mean it's a shame there's only one season but it actually was really good.

This is one of those cases where Netflix should have done better research for certain.
LOL.

Stick with logical stuff, like real life anime adaptations.
Wait...No.

Seriously, Netflix makes good shows at times, but they've been dropping the ball recently.
And what does Bud Light have to do with casting a Black woman here? LOL wut.
Someone did not get the memo at what Bud Light did.

Better research on what?
Damn...

Who did more damage: Octavian or Ratings.

No.. the funniest thing of all is if it was a success SJWs would be praising it... and now it failed it's still a tool to call everyone "bigots" and pretend t be surprised "and people seem to care" about trying to subvert history with fantasy for political / social propaganda...

Woksnessness!!

Did Bud Light or Miller Lite sponsor the show?
Just Will Smith's Wife

A whole other can of worms
Personally I don't care who plays a part in shows, TV or movies. But in this case it's not about the colour of the actress, it's more about the political virtue signalling.

Pre-2020... would anyone of cared if cleopatra was played by a black or a brown woman? I believe the answer is would be no. But since 2020, everything is now based on race, you see it on TV, you see it on adverts, you see race plays a massive part is news stories and everything is now either racist or not. People are sick to death of it now and people are pushing back.

To me, all this talk of race is dividing us even more. It's like the people in power want us all to hate each other and fight upon each other for what ever reason and I see it playing out daily.
Still waiting on that Sean Connery Zulu biopic.
Ryan Gosling as Netflix's Tupac looking better and better...
