No Adblockers on Youtube anymore
Well soon you wont be able to use your Adblockers on Youtube anymore because Google are already working on an Adblock fix. You will be forced to watch these tedious adds. What are you thoughts about that. Let me know in the comments below

my adblocker suddenly stop working, nothing shows up on the home screen, videos now play ads....

*vomits*

I wouldn't even bother with running an ad blocker if the ads wasn't so annoying and intrusive, I mean sure I can deal with 2 different 30 second ads, but then it shoves 30 min ad at ya, or you are forced to watch a couple of ads at the beginning of a video and not even a min into it it makes you watch 2 more without the ability to skip, yeah, go screw you self Youtube.

i patched my adblocker in about 20 minutes, and it works lol. i'm pretty sure everyone else would have figured it out as well, it wasn't anything special.

Just wait till they start integrating the adds in videos

I really miss Youtube when demostration and walkthrough videos went straight to the point with depressed sounding dude in the background who rarely talks and doesn’t show their faces yet their videos were thoroughly explained.

Youtube videos were plain and basic and the website layout was neat and minimal.

Now, it’s becoming ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ unbearable looking at the front page, hearing punchable faces with obnoxious voice talking about likes and non-related topics in the first 5 minutes, keeps adding unnecessary effects in the background and cutting off every minute for some dumb jokes that are not even funny. The thumbnails alone made me not want to click them.

no, i wont accept extra cookies only to prevent tiktok and stupid trading scams to show up
Even accepting the cookies they still show up. TikTok and Temu have presumably paid YouTube a fortune to be displayed ad nauseum.

Solution is to destroy every company so that there won't be any ads.

Without any companies, there are no jobs. How would people earn money and live?

You're a cool person and all, but your logic fails here, and even as a total drunkard right now I can see it :hmm:

I dunno folks. I don't particularly mind clicking skip ad after 5 seconds. Even if there are two ads, that only takes up ten seconds of my time. That's way better than television commercial breaks, which usually aren't skippable at all and take up about 1/3rd of the program's watch time.

The bills have to be paid somehow, so it's either through sponsorship or though paid subscription fees, and the minute Youtube starts demanding paid subscriptions to watch their videos is pretty much the moment I abandon the site. I enjoy it and find it useful from time to time, but not that much.

I'm convinced the whole Internet is paid by the amount of time the audience wastes. When the best feature Google has ever added by a LOOOOONG shot is finding the relevant paragraph, and not just the relevant webpage, it's time to nuke the whole interwebz and start over.

Nobody wants to waste eight minutes reading your completely irrelevant life story and eight more reading context everybody already knows, when your article title is literally a yes/no question. Hell, nobody even wants to spend two minutes skimming all that garbage, which is necessary because you don't even have the decency to put the answer at the end.

Well, you got Bing, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and YouAI starting to pop up. Condensing all the god-awful SEO-abusing blogs into something easily digestible and to the point. That's something.

I guess YouTube wants to die sooner rather than later. They've got viable competitors, so it's not like much will be missed.

Their going MySpace Mode is inevitable.
