Antifa is a group that uses violence to intimidate people into silence. Calling themselves ‘anti-fascist’ means nothing when their actions don’t support their words. A group that claims to be on the side of right, but in fact are just goons that always wanted to be violent, and now have found a cause to do just that. At least you added quotations around “peaceful”.

I don't like facists so I agree with their values... but not necessarily their methods.

To be fair, I don't know, I'm not sure if ANTIFA is even an organised group of people or just an umbrella term, so it's possible I agree with the methods of some and not others. So let me reformulate. I support fighting facism, I don't support using physical violence and stuff like that to do it (unless in self defence, of course).

while i do agree with them that fascism is an abhorrent belief that should never arise in the modern era, i think how they handle it is just not adequate.

fascism and other extremes arise typically from ppl being abused, or feeling like they've been abused and wronged, and tormented by various groups and interests for long periods of time

idk about you guys but i theorize that setting fire to cars and assaulting people and vandalizing stuff will just cause ppl to turn to the dangerous beliefs, which you're fighting against

Sadly, American politics are so hyper-polarized and mentally ill/unstable that any minor disagreement can be conceived as fascism or liberalism/x or y/etc etc vice versa...
