"Stricter gun laws" = NOTHING to do with "banning guns"
Just saying, it seems like too many people misunderstand this idea or just misinterpret it on purpose in order to have some "problem" to whine about and a "common enemy" as a manipulation tool or simply just to have more things to whine about.

Anyway, "stricter gun laws" would just make it harder for the wrong people to get access to guns. The people who take away other people's freedom. Without such people having access to guns, everyone else would have more freedom. Freedom to live. Freedom to go anywhere without fear of getting shot.

The problem isn't guns or normal gun owners, it's just the wrong people being able to access them too easily and without even knowing how to use them responsibly.

Stricter gun laws would absolutely not affect all the normal gun owners out there who are the majority, so I don't see what's the problem. You would still have your guns for self-defense just in case because you can never fully get rid of criminals, but you would definitely be less likely to have to use them as a last resort.

See, you can have a gun in Massachusetts just fine:

https://www.mass.gov/info-details/gun-ownership-in-massachusetts

But, because Massachusetts has stricter gun laws, mass shootings (specifically school shootings) there are as nonexistent as in Europe and it's generally one of the best states in terms of safety.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Mass_shootings_in_Massachusetts

Just 4 entries here, basically isolated incidents as anywhere else in the world.

Switzerland has a really strong gun culture and plenty of guns, but mass shootings are nonexistent. Go figure. Maybe it's proper regulations, as well as proper education and training?

What? An opinion that isn't either "no restrictions bc slippery slope fallacy and conspiracy theories" or "ban everything while ignoring logistic impossibilities"?

You know that isn't allowed here! You have to be one extreme or the other, and anything less means you aren't being a good little party slave, which is unamerican!

Now pick your poorly informed side to be a zealot for and get back to hyperpolarization!

I’m serious. It was protocol. Gather in a corner, turn off the lights, and pray he doesn’t break in.
More specifically, make the room appear empty from the hallway. The idea being, based on the actual observation of active shooters by law enforcement, that they tend to not waste time breaking into locked rooms they think might be empty.
Unless the shooter learned about the protocol himself when he was a kid then you’re screwed.

Misinformation about health is pretty dangerous, saying such ♥♥♥♥ isn't even a matter of "different viewpoint" at all, it's just plain wrong, so that's understandable. There's a difference between "I don't want to get vaccinated" and "vaccines will make you infertile and you'll be dead within 6 months" for example.
It's all misinformation until it turns out to be right, just how it was misinformation that it was a lab leak, until, oh my, would you look at that, it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lab leak!

What? The lab leak option was an officially acknowledged option since basically forever, but that wouldn't really be harmful misinformation anyway, makes no difference where the virus came from. I agree with Trump calling it "China virus" though, it is indeed Chinese and screw them, they ruined 2 of the biggest things of my life (well, some of) as well as so many others. Anyway, I heard "the difference between a conspiracy theory and the truth is 6 months" too many times, never turned out to be true.

No, because in the grand scheme of things, unless you are one of the people they are specifically looking for, the chance you are going to die is mostly determined by how long the shooter has and what targets they get to choose from. Locking yourself in a room means they have to spend time to access the room before they start killing, which measn they may just move on looking for easier prey. Every delay has the potential to save lives.

It's the the 3 Little Pigs. You want to be the one in a locked house of bricks.

Facebook and YouTube were literally removing theories about the lab leak for misinformation before it became 'offcial'.

Where were you during the pandemic? Lots of people were being silenced that affected their lives, and others.

Yep, and it turns out a huge chunk of the misinformation came from the experts.

Yeah, well, that's Facebook and YouTube, they're private companies with their own private platforms where they can do whatever they want. What can I say. Twitter did a 180 with Elon Musk getting in charge... same ♥♥♥♥, swapped sides. I'm banned here for all kinds of stupid reasons more often than not, it sucks, yeah. It's really not because of some grand conspiracy though, they just have some stupid rules and their employees don't really care much, as in, it's just a lot simpler for them to get rid of something when it looks questionable at first sight rather than overanalyze it and go through all the rules over and over to make sure it's the right decision. That's what it is.

You know, the 3 Little Pigs has another way of seeing things, if the other pigs also made a brick house, they'd still be dead, and so would the third, because the reason the third pig made it is because the other two stalled the wolf just enough.
So I guess the lesson here is, hope others are less prepared.

That's why you gotta go with the less talked about 4th little Pig Brother who built his house out of wolf-skulls. It wasn't very strong but it sent the message.

To translate that into the real world. Gotta take a soft-target -gun free zone and actually protect those kids like we would protect money in a bank or protect them like we would with a politician (aka with guns).

So "private platforms" can say whatever they want, but individual people can't?
Are you legitimately out of your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mind? Individuals can't speak their mind but a media platform that pushes a worldwide ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ narrative can lie to us.. right...
Get, lost.

Sadly, in the calculus of violence, that is the case. The idea however, is to minimize the amount of time the shooter has on target and maximize time spent looking for targets.

What if it's not during class time and it was during lunch where the common area was at peak capacity? There was a case that this actually happened.

They were doing so at the instruction of Fauci and government officials.
