It isn't just that the subject material and the camera work make it freaking terrifying. It's the incredible sense of dread you have after the movie is over.

You will be triple checking your doors and windows, have all the lights on in your house, sleep under the blankets for protection.

And not a single supernatural thing happens. I personally know that I'm not watching it a second time. Watch at your own risk I guess.

I wouldn’t say it was the scariest but definitely the most disturbing.

The only movie i remember being visibly disturbed by was The Blob. I was fairly young when i watched it, but something about it covering a person and consuming/melting them was just too much. Slasher films and normal blood and gore didn't phase me, but that did. Maybe something coming out of the plumbing felt more relatable in some way.

Yeah, the way the blob burned off the flesh of the victims while they were alive was disturbing.

So far, the scariest thing would maybe be some analog horrors, Hotel Del Luna, and scary tiktok comps

I've seen all of alien and predator (combined and solos)
they aren't scary

Scariest and realistic scene would have to be Straw Dogs. I won't even describe it here.

Scariest movie, and I watch a lot of horror but people are still going to doubt, Paranormal Activity.

When her leg got picked up a few times and then she is swept from the room. That scared the ♥♥♥♥ out of me. NGL.

I spent a weekend with my Great Aunt in my youth. On TV was this old black and White movie about a family that moved into an old house that was haunted. As the story progressed, you start to understand that the spirit in the house is attempting to possess the youngest girl and have her run off a nearby cliff.

The family fights back, attempting everything they could think of to get rid of this spirit. What they don't know (until the end) is the house actually has two spirits, one good and one evil. The family had been fighting both spirits, not realizing that by doing so they made the good spirit weaker, allowing the evil spirit to more easily possess the girl.

It scared the hell out of me! I don't know the name of this movie. I have looked for it. But not knowing what the movie is called or even who was in it, it is almost impossible to find.

I love a good scary movie.
