It looks like you're wrong on that. Turkey is included. However, as I said, here that's the only kind of Mediterranean referred to as far as cuisine goes.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that's wrong but some truth to it as it's where the east meets west so you can imagine it's very inclusive a lot of spicy foods and mostly Mediterranean dishes are basically identical or a variation on Greek and Italian like the pizza and Lahmacun both are amazing btw yall making me hungry man!

If we're being super-literal "Mediterranean food" should only refer to food from the Mediterranean sea, so mostly fish that are caught in it.

It makes sense that it encompasses the whole area but, and I suppose it should not be surprising, Americans get it wrong and stereotype it.

I guess if you don't know much about it, haven't visited or tried any and take it at face value I see how you could think it's just seafood from the sea it is named lol but it's actually all the countries around it and the dishes are quite unique so definitely 100% worth checking out trust me and thank me later it's amazing food.
