Why is the United States afraid of China?

Other countries in the world are catching up with the USA. No country stays at the top forever.

"Rule" makes it sound like it's not gonna be ALL bad.

I think a better word would be "Subjugate" and "Oppress".

Though they cannot even run their own country and abandon entire cities all the time as they run their "Capitalism for the ruling class" and "Communism slavery for the civilian class" thing.

The US fears China because it's about the only nation that could stand toe-to-toe with them. If any nation shows enormous potential, they use the media to villainize them. The US actually sabotages other nations' progression all the time. Doesn't matter how small or innocuous the nation is; if it's making big progress in any area, the US sits up and takes notice and plans sabotage so subtle no one will ever notice.

In the case of China vs. the US, however, the US is that guy who's the most popular and thus powerful guy in school who's squirmy knowing a new guy showed up recently who could conceivably challenge him and win. Except the new guy is just kind of sitting there in one corner of the cafeteria staring at him, sipping his drink and smiling, making the popular #1 guy nervous. "What is he up to?" #1 thinks. "He's gotta be up to something."

And he is. But good luck ever finding out, #1 guy. While you have an IQ of around 110, new guy is genius level. In a fight, #1 guy will make the approach and then initiate. New guy, however, will have arranged for #1 guy's illness before the fight, so that before the fight has even begun, the winner has virtually already been decided.

China has a history of defeat. They have never won a war.

Unless that they can convince the world that they are essential for the proliferation of the human race, then no, much like past nations and empires, their aspirations with certainly end in sheer defeat, either by their own hubris in their quest for global political power, or by the fires of war with opposing forces. As the yet to be broken maxim from Romance of the Three Kingdoms say, "All divided must unite; all united must divide, and thus, it has always been."

Much of the pre-industrial favoritism of a strong central authority was primarily to compensate for time and distance in official proceedings. Taking strong, legalistic stances in the modern era seems like a huge misstep.

Unless there's something fundamentally wrong with the country's foundation somehow.

china is mostly a dirt hole. 70% of their water is polluted beyond use, they pollute everything, destroy wildlife, still have slave labor, thief and steal all their tech and knowledge, and tell the rest of the world they are a magical place of purity and peace and are always the victim..1.

the only reason people fear china is that they don't want the entire world to turn into a polluted, controlled, oppressed, fentanyl filled trash heap with a pretty fake facade.
