Making a good Disney film should be super-easy, it's amazing how incompetent they have become.

If they want more "representation" then just make a new original story, a new IP, why "steal" and saboutage an old successful IP, one that has tonnes of cultural meaning and influence, just to make cheap political points that nobody asked for.

Actually, no. For a movie to be considered a success it's supposed to be profitable. Breaking even is considered a failure.

8th biggest title of 2023, bigger than John Wick 4, Transformers, Indiana Jones, Taylor Swift. If that's a failure I guess everyone might as well pack up and go home.
