If it is the D.E.I. mess that the video I saw was then I suspect it might fail. I can only hope it does.
Side note: I don't mind people changing the story a bit to make it feel fresh ... what I do do mind is changing it for just one group a people to *feel better*.
This is actually the perfect example of why grouping people together all the time makes things worse.

they were folktales circulating centuries long for the brothers grimm wrote them down often in a much less dark version than the originals.. and disney made them even more child friendly.
the real story of snow white.. a child of 7.. dies.. she lies there in her glass coffin forever.. dead.. the dwarves.. die.. as now nobody is there to cook for them.. after their days in the mine..
all die..
it was ment as moral play.. beware stangers bearing gifts! and don't rebel against the holder of the orphansage no matter how much they put you to work in mines and sweatshops.. without them you'd starve.. so be a good child and obey!
and if snow white who was 7 years old in the original story.. and the dwarves were small children going into the tiniest tunnels of the mine to grab the last scrabs the adult miners and children miners could not get.. they were likely toddlers...
diney already disneyfied many of the original stories..
that said I oppose the whole wokefy all disney classics crap too.

but all people from the central european regions.. with a 7yo white snowwhite and likely a bunch of nameless toddlers (original did not gave them names) who at the end all die.
Snow White 2025- most disliked Disney trailer in history... Just like The Little Mermaid was before it. And the next big title will surpass this one.
This downvoting trend is as much of a meme as "This is the worst Steam Sale ever"

You do understand that Little Mermaid, once you calculate production costs, advertising costs, and other costs, essentially managed to just break even, right?
They don't earn on the movies.
That is why if you not black enough at least you can be black and red hair.
Actually, no. For a movie to be considered a success it's supposed to be profitable. Breaking even is considered a failure.
Bank pays everything. Which is the rest of the world pays because people don't like their movies.
There are two options people have.
They buy or they increase the taxes to make the state buy for them.
If they want more "representation" then just make a new original story, a new IP, why "steal" and saboutage an old successful IP, one that has tonnes of cultural meaning and influence, just to make cheap political points that nobody asked for.
They and other activists need to learn that you can't re-write history, no matter how desperately you try. That's what they're trying though.
Suddenly, making movies for people of European origin, drawing from european history and cultures, is a super-sin. This ignorance will keep driving people away from Disney.
