The dialogue for Wuthering waves feels like it was written by a person who has ADHD.
They don't stay on topic and that's my main issue with the game. I like the gameplay and I like long drawn out lore in games . It's not that the lore is too long ... its just boring . Why ? They keep stopping you to read over and over . I read everything in the menus from consumables to weapons and abilities . I did this so that i could get a grasp on the game and then play the game . This game takes dialogue so far it might as well be labeled as an interactive book .

The gameplay is good but they keep stopping you to read. You read the in game menu's and tutorials , items , and characters . You then listen to the character go on talking for 20 minutes nonstop . You finally get to " play " and the objective is to walk up to a terminal and read again . So you read that then they make you listen to talking that tells you to go read some more stuff or listen to another NPC talk for 20 minutes . All of this takes place during one quest . The game play last less than 3 minutes and its right back to talking and reading .

Why didn't they just make Wuthering Waves a manga , or visual novel ? I'm not even that far into the game I'm only at the archives but according to others online ... I'm not the only one noticed how much dialogue is in this game . Why make a game with good combat just to make the player spend 90% of their time not playing the game ?

I just fell asleep.... the dialogue is so dull I ACTUALLY fell asleep drooling . That’s terrible ....
Sounds bad I hate when they do that even for 2 minutes

Yes the dialogue is the worst. The combat is so good and all I want to do is play and explore. There's not many enemies around to kill so I couldn't really get my fun in, and it's as you said literally 20 minutes of talking then walk to another npc or item on the ground and 20 more minutes of talking. Even when you skip you just end up skipping into another 20 minute diagloue. I grew up with rpgs my favorites of all time are Xenogears and FF7, but this is redundant. Feels more like an interactive novels. Or those vr games that's a storyline where you jsit get to interact with sometimes to immerse you in the story. The diagloue kills the fun. And it doesn't stop lol.
