Just saw the new Alien Romulus today.

It was good. But didn't have any new aliens except a human & xenomorph hybrid.

The ending was the same as every other Alien film, I am saying this because If you watched every Alien film you should expect that.

I feel like every Alien movie after Aliens has tried to go in a new and inventive direction but only kills the plot of the previous release.

The shift between 2 & 3 along with Prometheus and Covenant being the worst (especially when you consider most of the important pieces of the story behind Prometheus and Covenant were deleted from the movie).

Walter Hill needs to give it up.

Honestly I don't see the Alien 3 hate. IT's way more serious tone compared to Aliens 2 corniness.
