Stop asking for pronouns.
I swear to god if I get asked what pronouns I use I’m going to flip. Next time I’ll just say I’m a magical fairy.

you just said "i" "i'm" and "i'll" can you stop using pronouns or no?
So do people go I am a I/I'm now?

Another thing about pronouns which nobody ever seems to mention, is that you only need them when talking ABOUT someone. "You" is not gendered. Therefore, what is even the point? Are they going to talk about me?

The problem with pronouns is that OLDER people are expecting special treatment. I know an 83 year old man who suddenly wants to be called she/her.

Well, I mean generally people who aski you what pronouns you use right of the bat or proffer their own probably don't even understand that the only gendered pronouns in English are third person.

The only time people should maybe notice their gendered pronouns being used in reference to themselves is in a group setting, so the only time the question should come up online is if you start having group chats with a person.

The only way to really know a person's sex online to know which set to use is to ask though, since nobody can tell for sure just by looking at your typewritten text, unless maybe you start voice or video chats with that person (which is rare), so the question is often going to be warranted. Now sure, you can decline to answer if you want to maintain a sense of privacy in that aspect of your identity (I normally do), but then you surrender the right to complain which set of pronouns somebody uses to address you, whether it's he, she, it or even something failed and largely unadopted such as Thon[postimg.cc] (Century Dictionary and Cyclopedia Supplement Vol XII).

Granted, in traditional English you typically assume the masculine gender when talking about a person unless you have reason to believe otherwise, if I recall correctly, anthough certain subgroups object to that practice. Without a clue, I'd somewhat prefer to take the Spivakian approach and just say 'e instead of he or she since eliding out the H or the Sh clips out the part that denotes gender, sidestepping the issue, though that doesn't particularly work for him or her, and it kind of makes a mess of contractions, but meh, in the case of a person going by the username Azami Faith I'd probably default to feminine pronouns until I have reason to believe otherwise is more appropriate, since both Azami and Faith sound like a feminine names to me.

Again, that is assuming I have no reason to believe otherwise is more appropriate though.

Unfortunately, English really lacks a satisfactory answer as to what to use for a third person singular gender neutral pronoun, since words are validated by their widespread adoption, and the period in which these words were first adopted is one where a gender neutral pronoun likely would not have been considered needful, so the only thing that can really be done is to compromise.

I doubt a truly proper one is going to be adopted anytime soon either. The last time we had a major change in the pronoun structure of the language was sometime between the 17th and 19th centuries. Languages aren't as ripe for change as they used to be ever since the adoption of methods to record words with the widespread adoption of printed books (most especially including dictionaries) and the advent of audio recordings has likely affixed the language even further, and all of the proposals that have been made since then have not seen widespread adoption as such.

However, with all of that having been said, being asked is such a small thing to sweat though, unless the same person harasses you over it when you decline to answer.

That is an overly intellectual explanation which doesn't have much to do with practical reality. If anyone asks for pronouns, which is different from asking whether you are a man or a woman, it is safe to assume they are delulus which you should stay clear of.

Seriously?

Ugh...

I'm gonna give you a good piece of advice here, my dude... completely free of charge:

If you don't stop being such an easily triggered soyboy snowflake, Life is going to be really hard for you from here on out.

This isn't going to go away. Especially if you plan to pursue a greater career in a bigger industry.

You can either make your peace with it or you can keep on throwing childish temper trantrums every time its brought up and get crapped on for it.

Your choice.

While "You", "me", "them", especially "which", and "nobody", or "someone", etc. are also pronouns.

Anyway - topic:

If OP doesn´t look like a real men or woman, people may ask for the pronoun, as in English it´s probably not common to talk to people in a neutral way. Sir? Madam? Who knows?

So it´s probably a "You" problem OP. Plastic surgery might help. Give Yourself the look which lets people not ask for it anymore, because they would know it for sure.

Incorrect, if you clearly see a man and call them a man they are going to REEEEEEEEEEEE and say you misgendered them. What you are saying is transphobic.

How does a real man look like? Apparently like me, as nobody ever misgendered me, while we have a neutral form to address people in the formal way. And usually this topic is not present IRL here, except it´s about complaining about the gender language, when talking that one is forced to talk in a certain way - while they clearly talk like they want if they talk to me, which could imply that they lie to me, and just like to complain for the sake of complaining - as always. Men would never do that. So we usually recommend them to wear a skirt.

Moderation is being weird again. Rude boy who should clearly be banned is still here, while my last comment seems to be deleted.

How does that even work? If it isn't enough reason to ban me, why do they delete it? I guess we will never know because it is a big secret apparently. Can't be very trustworthy then, can it.
