There are both good and bad bacterial. Body odour only comes from the smell of bad bacterial. The good bacteria does not create smells and can outnumber the bad bacterial, if not washed away, killed or masked.
Hense you can actually over shower and smell worst, than someone who doesn't shower as much. Requiring you need to shower more and more each time. Wiping out your body oils and natural good bacteria each time. Excessive washing or the use of harsh soaps can disrupt the natural balance of the skin microbiome, contributing to imbalances that can lead to body odor.
Balance is key and at least a pH-balanced cleanser.
