The ones who’re miserable and angry all the time are the ones living in the big cities, especially in more northern places such as Pennsylvania and New York. I visited my family in New Jersey a lot, back in the day, and there’s a reason that drivers get worse the further up the coast you go. Road rage is extremely common up there, people are aggressive behind the wheel in those states.
As for the whole guns thing, the same logic applies. Let me put it this way to you, using a phrase I’ve heard several times before: in the town where everybody owns a firearm, the people are very polite and respectful to each other.
