Why is this forum a useless place for any actual discussion that isn't controlled narratives?

Edit 2: Just lost the ability to delete this what happened? I was going to what I said give the award (which I did) and was going to delete this but now all I can do is edit this thread.

Edit: I know these topics have been done over various points of time but most of the threads are just to cuss people out and rant. My thread is about if other people experienced this as well.

This place feels like Reddit and I keep hoping it will get better over time but I'm not seeing that effect and any threads that require knowledge/decent memory/critical thinking or any of the above will be at best ignored or spammed to death. Is it just me or does this happen to you as well?

I'm just at the point where I see little point in trying to engage with most of the users on this board. At least those whom I'd deem heretical.

I would say only about a quarter is bait post by someone with bias, I feel like Steam OT is a place for open discussions and in many cases I do see some post as that. No concern to be malice, more so just curious on people's thought process about a topic. It's a place to ask thing bluntly and some constructive conversations have come out of that. I feel we're all still learning one way or another here
