USA have higher quality of life than EU on average
Despite all the issues USA have it probably still have the overall better quality of life, like purchasing power is way higher. Although I guess the top countries in Europe are significantly better than the top states in USA.

sorry dude, but in europe you have better healtcare system for average joe, better support for poor people, better school system for average joe, better rapid transit, so you are not forced to have car in europe

europe was build for poor and average joe

usa was build for upper and rich people
I know how taxes are setup in my country and I don't see much difference for the wealthy who are massvely favored in both countries. The difference is between the working people, not the owners.
sorry dude but it is better to be poor or average joe in europe than in united state, in france you can still have ok appartment and use rapid transit to go at work, in usa you going to live in mobile home and probably forced to drive one hour with your car to go to your job

not they are better than usa in this area, for co2 consumption france is 5 tons by year by people, usa is 14 tons
You should adjust for trade. Earth Overshoot day put USA at 5.1 earths, Denmark at 4.2 Germany at 3 and France at 2.8 so non of those countries have a sustainable consumption but yes USA is significantly worse but european countries are hardly good either.
sorry dude but average french comsume 3 times less co2 than average american

But that is largely true for any sort of income nowdays in europe, so less gap between the workers due to how taxes work but the people with wealth is massively favored in both USA and in european countries.

I guess each individual will have their own feeling whether their standard of living is high or not.

Doesn´t matter much when people are living on the streets - they wouldn´t necessarily feel better if someone tells them, that they live in a very rich country. Probably they feel worse, or lose motivation - because they see that it doesn´t matter, because money is valued higher than people, or rather people are measured in money, and whether they cost something or make money.

You can however find quite a few european countries with similar or more billionaries per capita than USA so maybe start with those.

yup, but in europe if you feel bad you can go hospital and not worry to pay the doctor, if you lost your job state can still support you, you dont need to worry too much about school quality even if the school is very low quality

in usa you try to not feel bad to avoid to pay the doctor, depend of state you can get support or no if you are in very bad situation and if you go in bad school it is good luck

On other hand it is generally eaiser to afford things like property ownership in USA than much of europe and given the growing importance of inheritence who know how bad stuff will get in the future in both europe and USA for the people left behind as the wealth and not income determine if you can or can't afford stuff.

Based on gross national income per worked hour adjusted for ppp year 2022 OECD USA came in 9th place behind Norway, Ireland, Denmark, Belgium, Sweden, Switzerland, Austria and German and then USA in that order, although not all world countries are included.

I would troll him with his scientology believes even before getting stuffed and drunk.
and I really love bbq.

And despite significant economic growth, non of those countries except maybe Norway have seen any significant improvement for the average worker for the last decade or two, so what is even the point of high productivity if the gains completely bypass the workers?

One can say that other countries have it worse, but You´re free to go there if You think You don´t fit in.

Top one use of these statistics.

Issue is those countries are dominated by the wealth and people who managed to get into property ladder at times it was affordable and now young in those countries probably struggle quite a bit with lacking job opportunity and overpriced and lacking housing.

Like in Sweden you pay massive taxes and have lacking opportunties but economic productivity is somehow great, but not so much for normal people.

upper and rich americans often move to europe

And lots of Europeans do move to the USA.

Actually, lots of Canadians and other people too.

Helps that the US is an innovation hub, which all the wealth it has attracts.

Lots of doctors and nurses move to the US because of the much higher incomes that the American private health care provides, and for doctors, lower taxes too. For example, the Canadian government just passed a bill increasing the capital gains taxes rate over anything above 250kCAD$ to over 66%.
