On a more serious note, I'm surprised people actually read reviews tbh. I mainly look at them to see if a game has compatibility problems/poor optimizations. A lot of joke reviews means the game probably runs pretty well if there's nothing to complain about to the point people are joking around with it.

I care more about the reviews themselves because they are what push low-effort games to the first pages if you sort the games by reviews. Because of some silly jokes, we have clicker games and achievement spammers more highly rated than games with good 3D graphics and actual gameplay that take a lot of effort to make.

But as I always say, it's customers' fault for everything. We (as a whole) are the reason Steam is full of low-effort games and copypasta reviews that sometimes have nothing to do with the game but get awarded anyway.

Yes I know, people are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ morons. Yet Steam could do at least something to combat this, but it seems they don't give two ♥♥♥♥♥.
