Urban Exploring Channels aka posting your crimes on Youtube
why do people who do urban exploration videos post their vids to Youtube? They are clearly breaking the law by trespassing yet they seldom get prosecuted. Wouldn't those videos go against YouTubes TOS?

Friend Computer rewards Death Leopards
Many of the forested untapped lands are gone, so what else are they gonna explore? The mcdonalds bathroom?
Which one?
A. Ruins
B. Mcdonalds bathroom
(You're choosing A)

but most of the places they explore on their channel are abandoned business buildings not ruins like you say. most urban explorers go to old factory's and even old food establishments and they clearly post "no trespassing"

Trespassing is one of the least morally bad crimes, especially when there's no one on the property & it's actually abandoned. Stealing ♥♥♥♥ or vandalizing things is ♥♥♥♥♥♥, but just looking is almost literally a victimless crime
I guess i'm speaking from a YT Terms of Service and what they choose to enforce and what not. They specifically say nothing that breaks the law and as minor of a crime it is, it's still a crime at the end of it.

Also this. There is literally nothing wrong with trespassing at an abandoned facility.

i agree, it's cool seeing them explore those places, i just don't know how they get around YT's terms of service.

I always thought they had permission in some places

some do but most give tips on how to evade security and in some cases they video tape themselves hiding from security.

Youtube TOS is a thing, being free is another. There a channel i found, began with a video of the guy and a friend doing wild train rides accross borders. Get some "illegal freedom" - Shiey. He's fine.

Anyhow, see this as a statement, a hobby/curiosity, and tapping our current world, our reality, for future generations to see. Who knows what will be tomorrow, but let peeps have fun while they are alive. As long as they are not bothering or disturbing others, let them.

don't get me wrong, I agree with you. It's just I'm puzzled that YT allows it given their draconian rules they enforce with other creators.

Hmmm yeah yknow that is a good question

Youtube TOS has always been applied very selectively. I'd wager they leave those people be until they say/do something that Youtube doesn't like, and then Youtube has an excuse to throw the book at them.

I'm guessing only if the owner of the land complains and says something, YT will probably send a takedown notice but I'm guessing a majority of these places don't care.

Ha, that ? I've asked meself the exact same. T'was YT that algoryt...mycally proposed my a vid of a guy and a friend doing border crossing hiding under a train carriage. But i very much liked it. Anyway, he got a lot of subscribers, and YT put the vid under me nose, so ...

... but yeah in a timeline where YT asks to blur the tits of .... literal ... statues ... yeah, dont ask, hope it is not noticed, and enjoy while it lasts. What else is there to say ? xD

when that happens, that will be the day I will try the YT alternatives but until that day, i'm gonna enjoy it as it is.
