This is one of the more bizarre and macabre, yet entertaining, silent films of its day and way before its time to be appreciated as one of the first "cult classic" films.

the character slow progression while he's going through his many phases is also well crafted.
starting with Phil being a very selfish and egocentric person , living the same day again and again , slowly becoming crazy then eventually landing back and seeing the opportunity that this situation bring him to learn all sort of different talents , wisening up and figuring out how become a better person.
I always liked the mood and the ending , it's one of the movies I watched the most.
I love Groundhog Day :D
Best Film of all time?
That is too difficult for me.
For now I will say The Departed
It is as good as The Godfather but do not be expecting anything like The Godfather.
It follows two police people and a notorious gangster.
One police goes undercover so deep they practically erase his identity.
One police goes for the career path while having 'connections' to the gangster.
It is based on a true story.
Jack Nicholson
Matt Damon
Leonardo DiCaprio
This film is intense and don't be expecting The Sopranos or The Godfather this is about Boston and you can feel it through this film.
It's tough and it feels real while retaining that entertaining draw to it for the viewer.
~It's a masterclass in my humble opinion.
But for english speaking film, Either Schindler's List or The Great Escape.
