Because transwomen are dominating women's sports - similar to what top men would do.
16 women (who competed against transgenders) just filed a lawsuit against the NCAA.

"[The lawsuit] isn't just about competition; it’s a fight for the very essence of women’s sports. We’re standing up for justice and the rights of female athletes to compete on a level playing field."
i don't watch much sports actually XD
Who cares. The situation is currently unfair. Let's fix it.
The worst form of inequality is to try to make unequal things equal. -Aristotle
Just like the stupid ideas that took hold in the gaming industry 10 years ago, we're now seeing the results in women's sports.
That's the thing about bad ideas. It takes time to see the results. Think communism.
I'm a swimmer. Lia Thomas beat the second place finisher by 38 seconds in the 1650 meter championship race. That's such a huge margin of victory. How is that fair? Just tried to look for the video on YouTube and couldn't find it. Hmm, interesting. Anyway, the win looked absolutely ridiculous.
Do we want transwomen to hold all the world records in women's sports? Because it's only a matter of time if we let them.
Probably better to let people compete on the basis of their chromosomes (XX and XY) since the previous words once used to differentiate the sexes have been muddied by politics.
We have visual proof of a transgender male beating females in sports and it wasn't all that close, either.
All I can say as a male is that I would never compete against a female in sports unless she initiated the desire to compete. I would also get her on record beforehand to make sure there weren't excuses afterwards about why she lost if she did. At the same time if I lost I would make sure the world knew she was better than me at that one particular thing only. There are challenges of all kinds out there.
I know one thing for sure. As a male I will NEVER beat a woman at giving birth or breastfeeding. Unlike a certain Supreme Court Justice I took biology class and can say for sure I was taught there is a difference between men and women no matter how hard they try to deny it.
Starting off by belittling someone is just bad form...
I agree that some complaints regarding "equality" are not equal to others.
But, when one generalizes that idea to all complaints about equality, it's lowering the level of a discussion about what could be very reasonable issues. Even unreasonable people can hold reasonable positions.
PS: I don't think this topic is really about women demanding equality in sports regarding competition between males and females, but a reasonable request for review of the situation with genetic males transitioning to phenotypical females and then competing with other females. That's a very different subject.
Also how far are we going to go? Do dyslexic people need to have dyslexic-only reading competitions because normal reading competitions don't give dyslexics a fair oppertunity to compete?
Good point. Cross a line. Normalize. Cross another line.
It's easy to say you're only doing this for the good of the oppressed because then you can disguise an agenda behind compassion. Reminds me of DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion). Why are laws being enacted against DEI now?
Personally, I think men should compete against men in sports and women against women - that is the spirit of sport.
Unbalanced and unfair. What else is there to say.
As a former martial artist, I still remember how I was more and more forced to do 'sparring' against female opponents in martial arts clubs I trained in and there was not one single time when they were dominating the sparring match, even though most of my female opponents were significantly more experienced than me.
