Any good strategy games on warfare in the 1600-1800s?
I think a game based on old line warfare could be cool.

I'll give that game another shot but Its really annoying how after every turn you have to wait for the animation of every nations troop movement to plays out. There's like a minute of dead time per turn

Holdfast is a strategy game when played right. With strict RP.

The reason most people avoid anything pre-1900 is because guns took a long time to reload. At best you're getting bullet sponges or re-skinned modern weapons. Total War as mentioned above is the closest you'll get and even those games haven't aged well.

I was gonna say Cossacks, but only if you're up for a challenge.
