It depends on the animal:
- Clown Fish
- Bearded Dragons
- Spotted Hyenas
- Snakes
- Lizards
- Beetles
- Frogs

If you had a pet Bearded Dragon or Frog, etc, then you might have to accept the fact that they can be transgender.

Bearded Dragons can change their gender just by the increase in an incubation temperature - from male to female and a fully functional female at that. For that to occur, you just need 32 degrees. Congratulation, you now have a transgender pet.

They have both sex hormones. It's interesting how it can swap by mere temperature.

As for humans, we have the X and Y chromosomes. We all start off the same "neutral female" gender and the Y chromosome is added later to males. It appears that Y chromosome can change in shape and size. Some males have a larger Y chromosome, while others have a smaller one. It's quite possible to feel transgender and trapped in the wrong sex, most likely due to that. A small amount of cases, but still possible. This would make most sense if there's more male to female transgenders than females to male, but I'm still working out that theory.
