Sexual orientation was not understood in biblical times, yet it still happened and wasn't actually rejected. Jesus himself hanged out with homosexuals, etc, even way back then in the Bible. He rejected the idea of being forced upon by another (suggesting rape/lust is bad no matter the gender), but not the homosexual person.
Jesus never even mentioned homosexuality in itself is a sin.
There's a lot of assumptions around it and a person's concept of what is Hell. Yet the Bible doesn't actually mention Hell much at all. Just that there's a Lake of Fire to burn the most wicked.
Some assume homosexuality is a sin and others do not, but rather it's how you act upon those feelings.
There are various factors like lust and rape, which applies both to if straight or homosexual, etc.
The closest version you get is Leviticus 18:22, which is roughly translated to English as:
"You shall not lie the lying downs of a woman with a male, it is an abomination."
(yes, that is not a spelling mistake)
People assume "lie the lying downs" is referring to sleeping with another in a bed.
"Male" in the Bible refers to either a young or old man. "Woman" is an adult only. "Man" is what would be used if it was referring to only an adult too.
Genesis 49:4 depicts “lyings” as forbidden acts of incest.
It's most logically therefore not even about Homosexuals (which they didn't really even know back then), but rather the Woman sleeping with their own child in a form of incest to create new off-spring.
Read it again: "You shall not lie the lying downs of a woman with a male, it is an abomination."
"A woman should not sleep with their own child, it is an abomination."
The Bible can be hard to translate into English, but this could be just as correct?
as well as
'don't lie about having sex'
and
'don't take advantage of people on the rebound'
or
'don't sleep with your friend's children'
abomination refers specifically to a non-viable child; ie a relationship that isn't going anywhere, childbearing or rearing or even longterm coupling or not.

Yea? Most LGBTQ people also breathe and drink water, you gay? Causation and correlation is lost with your post. Straight people have been through rough times also. No can do with this.

You clearly are misunderstanding what is being said. Not all people who were abused and singled out are gay.
But an overwhelming amount of gay people were singled out and abused. Can't let emotions play an influence here. I've struggled my own in life, but no I have children. It's objective knowledge.
I have wealthy family, but grew up poor.
I was raised in a small, tight nit community and spent my later adolescences in the city.
I've also studied much of this subject - I did say I wasn't trying to offend anyone and I was just sharing some information most people don't look into.

Objective knowledge? That is incredible. I didn't realize it was so obviously easy to interview every single gay person on Earth.
Maybe it's just that I'm not confused, and that the people who are counted as being abused are more likely to be counted because they were abused, had they not been abused it wouldn't be known they were even gay. Again, correlation and causation is lost here.
I could go even further and say that most gay men come from a single mother households, especially those who aren't leaders of their demographic. That's not me being rude, that's just how we work and respond in this thing called a society.
Apparently you don't understand the ideas behind correlation and causation.
Independent studies exist and you also have to have to aptitude to examine the world OBJECTIVELY and not just brush by things and/or project them in a way that benefits your likeness. I mean, I'm being pretty detailed here.
But denying a creator ('god') is illogical af too. Stuff doesnt get created from nothing.
