My shoes dry rotted

Sob. I needed a new pair of working shoes. I put on some old shoes from my cupboard. A little dirty looking but plenty of sole. Then I went out into the yard. The soles literally crumbled apart. Now I gotta buy some new shoes. Oh the Huge Manatee.

I'm guessing maybe not the latter since you said "shoes" and not boots.

Yard work mostly. I should get some lightweight boots. More protection from the weeds with the needles on them.

tho I'm sure now that they've been endorsed by adam savage they're selling for like 10000000x what they're worth...

Heck yeah dude, I think every man should have at least one decent pair of boots. They can be some of the comfiest footwear once they are broken in.

If you're from western Canada, I know the Pacific Northwest allegedly has some of the best bootmakers in the world. TONS of boot companies around there. Might be worth looking into.


I would also recommend this Youtube Channel called "Rose Anvil" to both of you. He cuts boots/shoes in half and inspects the build quality of them. Very informative channel and he's the only one insane enough to destroy $80,000 worth of shoes and counting.

I mean I feel like he did genuinely wear the boots and just said what boots he wears... I'm just sure after he's said that they're infinitely more popular and now sell for more... tho from what I understand there are now many cheap ripoffs to choose from... so that's also fun I guess.
