I'll have you know that these people use religion as a scapegoat. They aren't truly religious, they just see the hatred for religion and think "Hmmm, I can use this to make them even more hated."

I generalized ALL religious people. In case you haven't been paying attention, that is the source of this anti-science cult of simpletons who think their keyboard gives them the right to question thousands of years of human development.

You are correct though, it was wrong of me to imply that this particular nutjob is religious. People like Donald Trump have managed to harness religious zeal for secular idiots. The evangelical right made that easy for him to do by giving him a pass.

Science has been hated by liars and deceivers since the days of Ancient Greece.

There was a time when simply asking questions would get you burned at the stake. Science has bled for you.

I don't always go for the white knight but when I do it's because they stab someone in the face with a sword.

Are they British? Cause British scientists seem to do all sorts of studies that no one asked for.

Generally speaking they are extremely dangerous, I see them as dumb peoplòe with just a lot of knowledge (at least sometimes, I do not take that for granted anymore) who just want to use this knowledge to gain money, no matter what.
They are only interested in how much money they can get selling what they do, what they have studied and themselves as a whole.
A lot of knowledge about very specific stuff mixed with no morals at all.
They will cause a lot of problems and we are already starting to see what I mean but of course I'm sure that the people who never wanted to see it still do not see it so it's not worth it to argue with them.
There is a word for people who are willing to sell themselves and care only about money... well two words in fact one is mercenaries, the other one is an adult only word let's just not say it here. This is what I think about modern scientists in general.
Maybe there is still someone more decent than this but generally speaking most of them are like that.
