then gen z was basically not taught cold war propaganda at all.
in this confusing time this is the easiest way to split the political base along age lines, and to appeal to largely retired and inactive voters.
this also leaves a convenient 'politically-savvy backdoor' that knowledgeable and politically active youth can enter into, believing themselves to have the enfranchisement of their ambitions as per usual.
